Why Leigh? When an elderly neighbour passed away I bought them tea supplies for their visiting relatives and ever since I’ve been affectionately known at T-bag ever since. We thought this was a lovely thoughtful and neighbourly gesture.

This piece arises from ‘found’ images from magazines, which subconsciously references aspects of tenant – landlord relationships. Negativity is avoided by ‘jokey’ interpretations of some situations that arise in most instances.

The team displayed the photography taken by Magenta Living tenants on a shared washing line. ‘We wanted the submitted photos to be used in a way that represented coming together in community. We chose black and white to show just how different colour can have on perspective and mood.
