Art gallery

The concept of LENS was created by local community partners, as we at Magenta, looked at the challenge of engaging people within our communities that we do not often reach. The exhibition showcases individual interpretations of ‘Lived Experiences’.

Each piece of art is a unique representation of personal or collaborative experiences from within our communities. We hope you enjoy looking at a small sample of the LENS artwork from each of the different perspectives.

The art has been produced from within our communities, with groups including young people; colleagues; customers with additional needs; and several others. Each piece offers a unique insight. They were facilitated by community partner organisations who work with people with additional needs and experiencing mental health issues. The project was funded through the social value commitment of our supply chain.

Creative arts offer a unique way of engaging people and bringing together people in a positive and collaborative way and LENS has produced real partnership working as well as some of the stunning art pieces on display.

If you would like us to bring the art gallery to you please contact us on communityregenerationteam@magentaliving.org.uk or 0808 100 9596 and ask for Jamie Martin or Kerri Burson.

We would like to welcome you to the gallery below

    Artwork by Jake Burson

Mental health can impact our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, act, and feel. It can cause problems when it comes to mixing with people, opening letters (bills), worrying about the cost of living, and keeping a healthy lifestyle. Sometimes it can be difficult asking for help but most people at some point in their life will ask for help and that’s ok. Can you see the image of a shaking face in this piece?
