Marshlands Road Garden Project
A group of residents approached their local housing officer with a proposal to improve an underused piece of land adjacent to their row of houses. The customers were supported by the Community Regeneration Team to develop their idea which focused on creating a new flower bed and installing a trellis for climbing plants on an unused piece of land.
Outcomes
The project provided a great opportunity for the customers to work and support each other to deliver the joint project. An underused and unattractive piece of land has now been transformed into an attractive space which has brightened up the area and helped to create a sense of pride and ownership amongst the customers that took part.
The success of the project demonstrated to the customers that Magenta Living staff can listen effectively and are able to work collaboratively to achieve projects that enhance our neighbourhoods.
